He is survived by: his wife Joyce Peterson of Alberta, VA; his daughter Sharon Harris of Yonkers, NY; his grandsons, Ted Benton of Yonkers, NY and Derrick Benton; his great grandchild Sonni Benton; his sisters, Gracie Short of Petersburg, VA and Ruth Logan; his brother-in-law Carl Benton of Brooklyn, NY; and his close friend Cleveland Green of Meredithville, VA.. He is also survived by nieces, nephews other relatives.
