She was predeceased by: her parents, Edward Lee and Rachel Blackwell. She is survived by: her husband James Eddie Meredith; her siblings, Vashti Roberts, Rosi Lee Blackwell, Dorothy Ruffin, Rose Brown, Edward Lee Blackwell Jr. and Robert Blackwell; her children, James Meredith of Lawrenceville, VA and Carnell Meredith (Helen) of McKenney, VA; her grandchildren, Tiara Meredith, Sovadda Meredith, Jessica Meredith, Olivia Meredith, Alexus Meredith, James Meredith Jr., Carnell Meredith Jr. (Demi), Carmel Meredith, Jaquan Meredith, JaMorris Meredith, RoMalachi Meredith, Jazmine Meredith, Josiah Meredith, Malik Todman and Arlik Knight; her siblings, Laura Mason, Armenta Stamps, Esther Weaver (William), Patricia House (Harvey) and Thomas Lee Blackwell; her in-laws, Clarence and John Henry Meredith (Mildred); and her close friends, Elvis Harrell and Melvin Walker. She is also survived by 15 great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and friends.
