She is survived by: her sons, James "Maurice" Short (LaFaye) of Winston Salem, NC and Martin "Junie" Short, Jr. (Sonya) of Chesterfield, VA.; her grandchildren, Olivia Short (Harolyn), Jessica Compton (Ronnie), Julia Agwu (Victor), Martin T. Short, III and Jamesce N. Short; and her godson Alvin Leroy Fields. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins.
