She was predeceased by: her parents, William Alphonso Thompson, Sr. and Mary Lou Hite Thompson; her husband Lawrence Alvin Shepherd; her siblings, Annie Taylor, Alphonso Thompson, Jr., Edward Thompson, Wilbur Thompson, John Thompson, Henry Thompson, Sr., Lawrence Thompson and Randolph Thompson; and her sisters-in-law, Mamie Louise Thompson and Margaret "Matt" Easter.
She is survived by: her son Travis Antowain Shepherd; her granddaughter Demaria Easter; her godsons, Christopher Easter, Eric Easter, Degasia Battle and LaMonica Easter; and her nieces, Tiffany Hite and Ciarra Whitaker. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
