It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Mack N. Rowlett (Lawrenceville, Virginia), born in Meredithville, Virginia, who passed away on November 4, 2024, at the age of 89, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his father Robert Rowlett; his son Allen Wayne Rowlett; his grandchild Lycinda (Cindy Rowlett); his wife Loretta Reed Rowlett; his siblings, Emma Wilkins, Delores Pinckney and Robert Lee Rowlett (Lorita); and his mother Lucy Alice Rowlett.
He is survived by: his daughters, Lycinda Rowlett (Cindy) and Myra McKinney; his grandchildren, Darren McKinney, Alayna Rowlett and Alan Rowlett; his great grandchildren, Kyia and KaMira Bradshaw; his siblings, Lonnie (Patrica), Tyrone, Kent and Linda; his brother-in-law Ronald Reed (Ruth); and also, Donald Williams, Johnny Ray Wilkins (Linda) and Darlene Stone (Larry). He is also survived by loving nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
A funeral service was held on Saturday, November 9th 2024 at 2:00 PM at the St. Paul A. M. E. Zion Church (1483 Brunswick Dr, Alberta, VA 23873). A burial was held on Saturday, November 9th 2024 at the St. Paul A. M. E. Zion Church Cemetery (1483 Brunswick Dr, Alberta, VA 23873). At St. Paul AME Zion Church, under the leadership of Pastor Alma Coles Charles, Mack served as a member of the male choir, senior choir, Trustee Board, and faithfully served and worked in the church where he was needed, until his health declined and Covid19.
