He is survived by: his wife Cindy Bright Puryear; his children, Amani Puryear, Leslie Puryear, Jr. (Amy), Aaron Puryear and Jeremy Reavis (Jessica); his sister Diane P. Jones (George); his grandchildren, Shaliyha, Zyear, Kavion, Jaountae, Asiya and Amarion; his father-in-law William Bright "Leon"; his siblings-in-law, Karen Owen (Richard), Francis Hazelwood Puryear and Korey Bright (Shelly); his nieces and nephews, Tiffani, Aliyah, Whitney, Jennifer, Asia, Jalayha, Kennedy, Quentin Manning, Jamel, Datwane, Jaquell and Korey Bright; his extended family Loften Bright; and also Zamari. He is also survived by great nieces and great nephews, cousins and best friends.
