We are sad to announce that on September 13, 2023, at the age of 73, Kathleen Gaines (Lawrenceville, Virginia) passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Percy Gillus and Ada Gillus; her aunt Corrine Bonner; her siblings, Christine, Janice Gillus and William Gillus; and her siblings-in-law, Lawrence Gaines, Charles Edwards and Barbara Cobb.

She is survived by: her children, Carl Gaines Jr. and Kaylar Gaines; her daughter-in-law Kareena Gaines; her grandchildren, Autumn, Colin Gaines and Skylar Nichols; her aunt Sally Beasley; her sister Evelyn Alexander; her siblings-in-law, Larry (Alicia Gaines), Perry (Gloria Gaines), Georgia Edwards, Jeanette Gaines and Curtis Cobb; and also Jerry Nichols. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
