He is survived by: his children, Dilworth Lipton Thomas and Amanda Francine Swan; his grandson Shamal Thomas; his siblings, Etta Bell Coleman and Benjamin Franklin Williams; and his wife Alice Horton. He is also survived by nieces and nephews, cousins and friends.
