He is survived by: his mother-in-law Evelyn Demetrus; his wife Demetrus; his sons, John Howard Boyd, Jr. and Jesse Thomas Boyd; his grandchildren, Niserah Leekin, Nina Monique Floyd and Micah Elijah Jones; and his siblings-in-law, Lynwood Hester (Collins), Thomas J. Long, Jr. and Phyllis Dalton. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
