He is survived by: his wife Deloise P. Claiborne; his grandchildren, Ebonee Simone and Kobe Jarod Claiborne; his daughter-in-law Cindy Claiborne of Chester, VA; his siblings, Audrey Brown of Richmond, VA, Tyrone (Dynetta) of Richmond, VA, Dr. Bobby Claiborne of Prince George, VA and Buford; his aunt Ruby Pearson of Cambridge, MA; his siblings-in-law, Linda Claiborne Baltimore MD, Gertrude Powell of Hampton, VA, Lue Ethel Croom-Powell of Harrisburg, PA and Emuel Powell Jr. of Steelton, PA; his nieces, Linda D. Harrison of Emporia, VA and Deanna Johnson of Chesapeake, VA; and his nephew Lamar Powell (Retha). He is also survived by relatives and family friends.
Visitation was held on Friday, December 20th 2024 from 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the Brown's Memorial Chapel (704 N Main St, Lawrenceville, VA 23868). A celebration of life was held on Saturday, December 21st 2024 at 11:00 AM at the Poplar Mount Baptist Church (6823 Western Mill Rd, Lawrenceville, VA 23868). A burial was held on Saturday, December 21st 2024 at the Poplar Mount Baptist Church Cemetery (6823 Western Mill Rd, Lawrenceville, VA 23868).
