He is survived by: his daughter Melinda Mays (Kenneth) of Dinwiddie, VA.; his grandchildren, Kimberly (Deonte), Kiara (Laron), Donald Jr., Donmanique (Ashley), Sierra, Anjalee, Mario, Johnathan and Raheem; his siblings, Oris Walker (Suzie) of Lawrenceville, VA, David Walker (Lisa) of Richmond, VA, Mary Maclin (James) of Rawlings, VA, Lamoyne Major of Smithfield, VA and Jean Peterson (Floyd) of Norfolk, VA; his uncle Ralph Travis Johnson of Lawrenceville, VA; his aunts, Edith Green of Baltimore, MD and Ada Nance of New York City, NY; his sisters-in-law, Juanita Hardy and Elizabeth Walker; and his friend Mary Wilkins. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
