She was predeceased by: her parents, Edward Allen and Annie Mae Carter; her husband J. Howard Settle; and her sister Ann Dey. She is survived by: her children, John H. Settle, Jr. (Dolores) and Marie S. Morton; her grandchildren, Rebecca S. Arnold (Matthew) and Jack Settle; her sister Dot Harper; and her sister-in-law Noel Settle. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
