It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Gladys O. Thompson (Lawrenceville, Virginia), who passed away on May 17, 2020, at the age of 78, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Waverly Mays and Phyllis Maddin Mays; her adoptive father James Gee; her husband Edward Thompson; her daughters, Geraldine and Gladys; and her close friend Robert Jefferson.
She is survived by: her children, Vanessa (Gene) of Lawrenceville, VA, James Thompson (Alvina) of Lawrenceville, VA, Rose Rodgers (Antional) of Lawrenceville, VA, Mary of Lawrenceville, VA, Etheline Thompson of Lawrenceville, VA and Robert (Keisa); her brother James Macklin of New York; and her sisters-in-law, Mary Alice Shepherd and Margaret Thompson. She is also survived by 19 grandchildren; 41 great-grandchildren and 10 great -great grandchildren.
