He was predeceased by: his parents, Elton Alexander Lucy and Lucille Baird Lucy; and his sister Glenda Pope. He is survived by: his children, Jeremy Thomas Lucy (Angie) and Daisy Lucy-Cary (Tommy); his grandchildren, Meredith Lucy, Abbie Grace Lucy, River Lucy, Sadie Cary and Rock Cary; his brother-in-law Linwood Pope; and his close friend Gail Cole.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Brunswick County Cancer Association, P.O. Box 522, Lawrenceville, VA 23868.
