He was predeceased by: his father Tom Adams; his sister Josephine; his sister-in-law Arlene; and his niece Shelia. He is survived by: his mother Mattie Alexander Adams of Valentines, Virginia; his significant other Susie Brodnax; his children, Marcus of Wise, Michael of Newport News, Virginia and Veronica of Lawrenceville; his siblings, Joseph, Earl and Dorothy Richmond (Donnie); his sister-in-law Alice; and his close friends, Leon Gillus, Wayne Moseley, Leon "Red" Pearson, Ronnie and Ray Charles. He is also survived by other relatives and friends.
