Elizabeth Peebles Steed Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Elizabeth Peebles Steed (Lawrenceville, Virginia), who passed away on February 29, 2024 at the age of 106. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her father Lemuel Heartwell; her husband William B. Steed; and her brothers, Marion Peebles, Jack Peebles and Garland Peebles.
She is survived by: her mother Mary Newsom Peebles; her children, Betty Shumate (late Bob), Nancy Vanson and Bill Steed (Deborah); and her grandchildren, Lisa Wajick, Will Shumate (Sonya), Brett Clary (Jaimee), Chad Steed (Beverly) and Tori Mullins (Jim). She is also survived by seven great-grandchildren, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
