It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Edith Udell Stith (Lawrenceville, Virginia), who passed away on November 8, 2019, at the age of 84, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Elie Claiborne Jones and Sadie Macklin Jones; and her siblings, Rev. Ben Jones, Rev. Claiborne Jones, John Jones, Sr., Rev. Ann Pickens and Marion Coleman.
She is survived by: her husband Peter Stith of Converse, Texas; her son Terry Stith (Roshawna) of Pearland, Texas; her granddaughters, Tierra Harrell (Brandon) of Ft. Leonard Wood and Tianna Stith of Houston, Texas; her great grandchildren, Grace Harrell, Gage Woolridge and Brandon Harrell (Deuce); her sister Ester Vitina Callis of Lawrenceville, Virginia; and her siblings-in-law, Jasper Stith (Loretta) of Lawrenceville, Alan Stith (Carol) of Newport News, Wilbert Stith of Newport News, Delores T. Jones of Lawrenceville, Lillie Sue Jones of Teaneck and Florence Jackson of Chester. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
A hard and difficult decision was made in May 2015 to place her in Seasons Alzheimer's & Memory Care Home.
