She was predeceased by: her parents, Sterling Newell and Elizabeth Newell; her husband Paul Bennett; her granddaughter Martha Fletcher; her sister Martha Fletcher; and her niece Chiquita Fletcher Garnes.
She is survived by: her children, Derick Bennett (Angela) and Tammy Clary (Marcus) of Blackridge, VA; her grandchildren, Derick Bennett Jr., Tre'quan Bennett, Desiray Bennett and Donasia Clary; her great grandchildren, Mariah Bennett, Mason Davis, Riley Bennett, Tyson Bennett and Kylie Bennett; her siblings, Sterling Newell (Grace) of Blackridge, VA and Shevon Valentine (Kio) of Lawrenceville, VA; her aunts, Ethelene, Gertrude (James), Louise (David) and Teresa (James); her close friend Robert Macklin "Puddin"; and her caregiver Tawanda Davis.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, November 21st 2024 from 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the Brown's Funeral Service (704 N Main St, Lawrenceville, VA 23868). A funeral service will be held on Friday, November 22nd 2024 at 1:00 PM at the Zion Union Rzua Church (597 Iron Bridge Rd, Lawrenceville, VA 23868). A burial will be held on Friday, November 22nd 2024 at the Newell Family Cemetery.
