She was predeceased by: her mother Hattie Lucy; her husband Thomas "Hop" Brown; and her daughters, Patricia Brown and Gloria Johnson. She is survived by: her children, Virginia Castro, Marie Farrar, Helenia Windham, Susie Ross of Irvington, Larry Brown and Ida Mae Brown; and her grandchildren, William Farrar, Jr., Demetrius Ross and Curtis Brown. She is also survived by mother that raised 8 children while her husband.
