She is survived by: her husband John David Sykes Jr.; her daughter Sandra "Sandy" Sykes Wilson; her grandchildren, John Robert "Trey" Wilson III (Katie) and Laura Annette Wilson; her cousin Allen Story; and also Hattie Pearson.
A funeral service was held on Friday, November 22nd 2024 at 1:00 PM at the Wright Funeral Home (206 W 4th Ave, Franklin, VA 23851).
