With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Archer Ruffin (Lawrenceville, Virginia), who passed away on February 6, 2020 at the age of 77. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Virgie Ruffin and George Ruffin; his wife Dorothy "Dot" Ruffin; his son Alvin "Boo" Ruffin; and his siblings, Mary, Lou, Duke, James, Otis and Wesley Ruffin.
He is survived by: his close friend Dorothy "Dot" Ruffin; his sons, Avi C. Ruffin (Tara), Tony Ruffin (Deanna), Devernia "Deno" and James; his daughter-in-law Melissa Ruffin; and his siblings-in-law, James Valentine, Mary Bracey Dunston, Inez Gregory (Ray) and Beatrice Ruffin Clayton. He is also survived by Eighteen grandchildren, seven great grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and other loving relatives and many caring friends.
