She was predeceased by: her parents, Ewell Roosevelt and Veva Myrtis Boyd Burnette; and her spouse Sollie Arthur Alderman, Jr.. She is survived by: her daughters, Rhonda A. Horton (Randy W. Horton) of Hillsville, Sandra A. Alderman of Laurel Fork and Glenda A. Penley (Eddie Penley) of Cana; her grandchildren, Alderman, III of Laurel Fork and Bradley W. Horton (Jill) of Galax; and her great grandchildren, Brady and Brooklyn. She is also survived by several cousins and special friends.
Visitation was held on Thursday, January 2nd 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady Chapel (1035 N Main St, Hillsville, VA 24343). A funeral service was held on Thursday, January 2nd 2025 at 12:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Thursday, January 2nd 2025 at the Sollie A. Alderman Family Cemetery.
