She was predeceased by: her parents, Thomas Franklin and Clara Belle Fariss Bowman; her husband Raymond Douglas Sutphin; and her siblings, Garner Bowman, Mason Bowman, Lowell Bowman, Lacy Bowman and Marie Stevens.
She is survived by: her children, Jan Puckett (Dan) and Doug Sutphin (Karen). She is also survived by five grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Friday, October 25th 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady Chapel (1035 N Main St, Hillsville, VA 24343). A funeral service was held on Friday, October 25th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A burial was held on Friday, October 25th 2024 at the Worrell Memorial Cemetery (160 Dry Twig Rd, Laurel Fork, VA 24352).
