She was predeceased by: her husband Horace Otey. She is survived by: her children, Melissa McCall (David), Faye Duncan, Ronny Otey and Daniel Otey (Connie); and also Patricia Adkins. She is also survived by eight grandchildren, sixteen great-grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers memorial donation may be made to Peninsula Agency on Aging. 312 Waller Mill Road, Williamsburg, VA 23185.
