She was predeceased by: her parents, James Volasca "Volly" Hazelwood and Tabiatha Ann Hicks Hazelwood; and her husband Gerald J. Otey, Sr.. She is survived by: her son Gerald J. Otey, Jr. (Gail); and her grandchildren, Aimee O. Potash (Chris), Cathleen Cueto (Micky), Jessie Bowmer and Kenny Bowmer. She is also survived by eight great-grandchildren.
