It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Gilbert Lee Crist Jr. (Lanexa, Virginia), born in Charlottesville, Virginia, who passed away on May 15, 2018, at the age of 83, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Gilbert L. Crist, Sr. and Ruby Fortune Stevens; and his stepfather Robert Stevens. He is survived by: his grandchildren, Nicholas, Shannon Krier (Ben), Nathan, Brooke and Shane; his significant other Gladys Quillian Allen; his children, Tony Crist (Rose), Melinda Martin (Jeff) and Jennifer Hudgins (Troy); and his siblings, Henrietta Kish, Joanne Mathews Kocur (Joe), Georgia Sandoval (Johnny), Vickie Meranda (Mark) and Bob Stevens (Laura). He is also survived by nieces, nephews and cousins.

In lieu of flowers, the family would like contributions to be made to Christ Community Church building fund and Toano James City-Bruton Volunteer Fire Department.
