He was predeceased by: his wife Anita Horner; his son Edward J. Horner III (Jay); his stepchildren, Judy S. Hailey and Stuart Saunders; his great grandchild Kyle Simons; and his parents, Edward J. Horner, Sr. and Mary Leonituk Horner.
He is survived by: his stepson William Saunders (Carolyn); his daughter-in-law Lacie Horner; his siblings, James Horner (Jackie), Barbara H. Burton (Curtis) and Eva H. Gay; and his grandchildren, Jordan Horner Taylor (Stephen), Edward J. "Cayman" Horner IV, LCpl Jaycie Horner, Elaina, Kimberly Horner, Ricky Hailey (Pam), Deborah H. Granger (Mark), Sherri S. Pearson (Brad) and Russell Saunders.
