She was predeceased by: her parents, Theophaleus Medlin and Beatrice Medlin; her husband John M. Evans; and her siblings, Estelle Murray, Nina Robinson, Reba Talley, Hillard "Fred" Medlin, James "Buddy" Medlin, Jimmy "Bob" Medlin, Donnie "Billy" Medlin and Kenneth "Pete" Medlin.
She is survived by: her son Mark Evans; her daughter-in-law Claire Evans; her grandsons, Wyatt and Kai Evans; and her siblings, Margaret Heath, Carolyn Best, Cathy Thornton, Lloyd Medlin, Roger Medlin and Wayne Medlin. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Tappahannock-Essex Volunteer Fire Department or the MCV Foundation in support of the Pauley Heart Center, noting on the check's memo line that the gift is in memory of Susan Evans, and mailed to VCU Gifts & Records, Box 843042, Richmond, VA 23284-3042.
