He was predeceased by: his parents, Joshua Lewis and Eva Walker Lewis; and his siblings, Lydia L. Bryant, Randolph Lewis, Stanley Lewis, Hampton Lewis and Gene Lewis.

He is survived by: his wife June Carol Lewis; and his brother Calvin Lewis. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Corrottoman Baptist Church, 48 Ottoman Ferry Road, Lancaster, VA 22503.
