She is survived by: her former husband Walter Mitchell, Sr.; her children, Eather, Walter Mitchell Jr. (Gwendolyn), Charles Mitchell Sr. (Melva), Betty Johnson (George) and Brenda Moody (Anthony); and her close friend Maurice Simmons. She is also survived by six grandchildren; seven great grandchildren; three great-great grandchildren; one brother; one sister.
