He was predeceased by: his parents, Jerome Hawks and Zula Faulkner Hawks; his stepfather Harold T. Stone; his siblings, Harold, Kenneth, Beryl Hawks and Audrey Hawks Howard; and his nieces, Sandy Howard Chamberlee and Rachel Hawks Boyd.
He is survived by: his wife Frances Holder Hawks; his daughters, Donna (Gordon Wright) and Rhonda Easter; his grandsons, Jackie Crotts (Tasha), Bradley Crotts, Heath Leftwich (Shelly), Lance Leftwich (Michelle), Chase Leftwich (Shawna) and Kennis Easter (Amanda); and his great grandchildren, Brandon Leftwich, Stephanie Anders, Cansas Crotts, Jared Crotts, Nacoma Leftwich, Grace Leftwich, Taylor Leftwich, Coby Leftwich, Kylee Crotts, Carrigan Crotts, Mason Leftwich and Andrew Leftwich. He is also survived by seven great-great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews, and many friends.
