He was predeceased by: his father Milton. He is survived by: his wife Jean; his sister Naomi McClary (Mike); and his children, Richard Roll Jr. (Cindy) and Diane Silvester (Mac). He is also survived by 4 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren.

The military honors was held on Tuesday, February 18th 2025 at the Quantico National Cemetery (18424 Joplin Rd, Triangle, VA 22172). A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, February 25th 2025 at 1:00 PM at 12191 Clipper Dr, Lake Ridge, VA 22192-2237.
