He is survived by: his brothers, Captain Cole, James Smith, Larry Hawkins, Curtis Mangum and George Johnson; his wife Theresa Rogers; his sons, Robert (Taiona) of Clinton, MD and Jason of South Hill, VA; his grandchildren, Tenasia, Kahleb, Jaylen and Khlan; his great grandchild Kamryn; his siblings, George Brown of South Hill, VA, Gracie Farrar and Lucy Wilson of South Hill, VA; his siblings-in-law, Robert Rogers (Tresia) of South Hill, VA, Ricky Rogers (Venus) of Neptune, NJ, Essie Crenshaw, Isabelle Brown of South Hill, VA and Lula Davis of Neptune, NJ; and his daughter-in-law Tamala Houchens. He is also survived by other nieces, nephews, cousins, family members, and friends.
Viewing was held on Friday, January 24th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Chapel of Oris P. Jones Funeral Establishment (301 W Atlantic St, South Hill, VA 23970). A celebration of life was held on Saturday, January 25th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the Home Going Celebration (5230 Goodes Ferry Rd, South Hill, VA 23970).
