He was predeceased by: his parents, Herbert Robinson and Cora Elizabeth Tyler; and his sister Wattina Lee. He is survived by: his wife Florence Tyler; his children, Anita Tyler and Lamont Tyler of King William, VA; his stepdaughters, Demetria Anderson (Nelson Green) of Bowling Green, VA and Shannon Hill King (Howard); his grandchildren, Sadarius, Malek Tyler, Nelshay Green, Shaneka Holloway (Keith) and Jesscia Scott; his great grandchildren, Jabari Anderson, Shamaya Anderson and Nykeem Holloway; his siblings, James Tyler, Alphonso Tyler, Wayne Robinson, Calvin Robinson, Alma Tyler, Cordelia Tyler, Karen Tyler and Diane Robinson; his aunt Leila Derricott; his uncle John Smith; and his brother-in-law Warren Anderson. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
