He was predeceased by: his father Maurice Peter Sypolt; his daughter Delores Ann Griffith; and his brothers, George Alfred Sypolt and Ronald Maurice Sypolt. He is survived by: his wife Betty Mae Sypolt; his children, Sonny William Griffith (Kimberly Ann Ashcroft), James Leon Griffith (Amber) and Christina Marie Sypolt (Toni); his sister-in-law Carol Sypolt; his grandchildren, Danah Michelle Elizondo (Abigail), Autumn Whisper Gray, Andrew Christian Griffith (Trianna), Christopher William Jett (Dakota Haynes) and Jordan Matthew Griffith (Juliana); and his great grandchildren, Steven Edward Davis III (Eva Marie Sweeney) and Oscar Paul Griffith.
