He was predeceased by: his parents, Bartley King and Kathleen King; and his sister Mary Elizabeth Browne. He is survived by: his wife Leslie King of King George; his children, Debbie Sims (Will) of Deltaville, John Bostic (Jen) of Lexington, KY and Jason Bostic (Pace) of Long Beach, MS; his grandchildren, Carrington King, Eliana King, Everleigh King and Cailyn King; and his stepgrandchildren, Rachael Bostic, Cadie Bostic, Kaitlyn Bostic, Tristan Mitchell and Bryce Mitchell.

A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, January 7th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Chapel of Storke Funeral Home (11089 James Madison Pkwy, King George, VA 22485). A burial will be held on Wednesday, January 8th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the St. Paul's Rock Creek Cemetery (201 Allison St NW, Washington, DC 20011).
