He was predeceased by: his parents, Marie Jalbert Volante and Francis; his sons, Eric and Christopher Volante; his daughter-in-law Hope Hitchings; his grandson Paul Hitchings; and his siblings, Robert, Richard and Virginia Feather.
He is survived by: his wife Mary Garrison Volante; his children, Lisa M. Volante and Ben A. Volante; and his grandchildren, Joseph Brown, Alex Brown, Allison Volante, Ashley Reynolds (Tyler) and Sara Hitchings (John). He is also survived by five great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the King George Rescue Squad.
