With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Charlie Joe Spivey of King George, Virginia, born in Soperton, Georgia, who passed away on April 9, 2024 at the age of 89. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, George Spivey and Eula Spivey (Mathis); and his siblings, Newbern Spivey, Syble Nichols, Randall Spivey, Roy Spivey, David Spivey and Sarah Joyce Spivey.
He is survived by: his wife Charlotte Spivey; his children, Steven Spivey, Stacey Spivey, Stanley Spivey and Tami Gardiner; his stepdaughter Margaret South; and his siblings, Robert Spivey and Mary "Susie" Whitmer. He is also survived by 11 grandchildren; 22 great grandchildren, numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Charlie's name to the Mary Washington Hospice, 2300 Fall Hill Avenue, Suite 401, Fredericksburg, Virginia 22401.
