She was predeceased by: her parents, Eunice Rose Thomas and Alvin Thomas; and her daughter Teresa McDowney. She is survived by: her husband Roger L. Young; her children, Dale Young (Mary) of Fredericksburg, Melissa Brown (Eddie) of King George and Angie Young of King George; her son-in-law Kevin McDowney of Colonial Beach; her brother Stanley Thomas (Maxine) of Rock House, WV; and her grandchildren, Dustin (Brittany), Alesha (Kevin), Timothy, Brandon, Brian, Nathaniel (Parker), Tiffany (Colten), Christopher and Serenity. She is also survived by 11 great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, February 25th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Storke Funeral Home (11089 James Madison Pkwy, King George, VA 22485). A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, February 26th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
