She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Winfield Scott and Mary Edna Newsome Saunders; her husband Edmond "Sonny" Whay; her children, Edmond Scott Whay (Edna) and Mary Cynthia Whay; her grandchildren, Nicholas, Emilee Whay and Skylar Vanlandingham; her sister Sharon Jett of Mechanicsville; her sister-in-law Lois Saunders of Kent Island; and her friends, Alice, Betty Coulson, Linda Kales and Ginger Philbrick. She was also cherished by many nieces and nephews.
