He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Col. Josiah Allen Smoak and Mary Pigman Bogusch Smoak; and his wife Julia Pembroke Chase Smoak (Smoak). He was also cherished by three daughters, seven grandchildren, one great grandchild, several dear friends, an ancient orange cat.
