With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Rebecca Smiley (Kilmarnock, Virginia), born in Suffolk, Virginia, who passed away on July 17, 2021 at the age of 71. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her husband Donald Elbert Smiley. She is survived by: her siblings, Constance Leigh Reid Happel of Suffolk and William Harrell Reid, Jr. (Anita Pickett) of Corvallis, OR; her niece Katherine Leigh Happel Gorden (Dennis) of Ormond Beach, FL; her nephew H. Jason Happel (Tracey) of Hagerstown, MD; her great-nephew William Nicholas Happel; her great-nieces, Elizabeth Reid Happel, Charlotte Leigh Happel and Caroline Elizabeth Happel; her stepchildren, Edna Milton Smiley and Leigh Smiley Blair; and her stepgranddaughter Michelle.

In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to the RWC Fellowship Fund, the Animal Welfare League of Kilmarnock, or the charity of one's choice.
