With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Rebecca Simmons Ford (Kilmarnock, Virginia), who passed away on August 18, 2023 at the age of 88. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Texie Day and Ollie Leon Simmons; her sons, Duane Devlin Ford and Darrell Spencer Ford; her husband Joseph I. Ford, Jr.; and her siblings, Glenda Simmons, Dixie Vonne S. Casadaban, Dora S. Rockwell of Pearlington, Mary S. Schilling of DuPont and O'Day Simmons.
She is survived by: her sister Gwendolyn S. Gitz of Covington; her children, Lynne and Michael; and her grandchildren, Sarah Ford Ray, Amanda Pearl Buckley, Shelly Graves Kober, Samantha Michaelle Wright, Joseph Robert Ford, David Duane Ford, Joshua Chamberlain Ford, Michael Ignatius Ford, Tyler Devlin Ford, Sara Anne Valentine and Benjamin Ryan Valentine. She is also survived by cousins, nieces, nephews, numerous grand-nieces, grand-nephews.
