He was predeceased by: his parents, John Bunion and Annie Pittman of Virginia; his wife Gertrude; and his siblings, Stanley, Bill and Earla Price.
He is survived by: his mother-in-law Gertrude Elizabeth Lawson; his son John H. Pittman (Cindy); his grandson Ben (Melanie) of Ferrum; and his great grandchildren, Avery, Rhett and Kye.
