With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Hilda Carlton Courtney (Kilmarnock, Virginia), who passed away on December 5, 2022 at the age of 90. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her husband Roland W. Courtney; her parents, Edward Carlton and Josephine Carlton; and her siblings, Billy, Alvie, Joe Carlton and Verna C. Barnes.
She is survived by: her sons, Roland W. Courtney, Jr. of Hernando and Allan Courtney of Ottoman; her grandchildren, James Courtney of St. Petersburg, Lt. Morgan Courtney (Ashleigh) of San Diego, Calif, Taylor Marshall (Tyler) of Brandon, Addie Courtney of Oceanside and Calif; and her caregivers, Crystal Bell and Kathy Hickman.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to Corrottoman Baptist Church, 48 Ottoman Ferry Road, Lancaster, VA 22503.
