He was predeceased by: his parents, Arthur Broaddus Gravatt Jr. and Ruth Latham Gravatt; and his brother Bruce Lee Gravatt. He is survived by: his uncle Doc; his wife Joan Weeks; his children, Amanda Broaddus Gravatt Porter and Emerson Latham Gravatt, Jr. (Krista); his grandchildren, Lucas James Gravatt, Carter Emerson Gravatt, Alexis Grace Gravatt, John Edwin Porter III, Joseph Emerson Porter and Lyla Page Porter; his siblings, Page Gravatt Hunt and Arthur Broaddus Gravatt III; and his pet Fergus. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews.
