She was predeceased by: her parents, Elgin Powell and Izettie Powell; and her husband George Russell "Jim" Martin. She is survived by: her children, George W. Martin (Barbara), Charles R. Martin (Vanessa), Linda M. Overstreet (Bob), Janet M. Fix (Steve) and Nancy M. Buchanan (Gene); and her grandchildren, Tammy Hall (Shannon), Crystal Hensley (Brandon), Annette Shepheard (Gordon), Dwayne Martin (Fay), Ken Martin (Jane), Cindy Schmidt (Chip), Robbie Overstreet (Angie), Matthew Overstreet (Sarah Beth) and Travis White (Katelyn). She is also survived by fifteen great-grandchildren; and seven great-great-grandchildren.
