He was predeceased by: his parents, Mack McKinley and Maggie Tharpe Duffer; and his siblings, Gerald W. Duffer and Lucille Duffer Palmer. He is survived by: his wife Barbara Beard Duffer; his children, Robbin Duffer Stiles (Eddie), Randolph Lee Duffer III (Beverly) and James Rodney Duffer (Lynn); his grandchildren, Gray Stiles, Anne Randolph Stiles, Clay Stiles (Claire), Mari Carl Duffer Fisher (Daniel), Reed Duffer and Raleigh Duffer; and his sisters, Polly Duffer Lenhart, Virginia Duffer Hall and Barbara Ann Duffer Averette (Billy). He is also survived by nieces, nephews, and cousins.
