She was predeceased by: her parents, Charlie Marion and Eleanor Tharpe; and her sister Betty Beatty. She is survived by: her children, Garland Hyde Hamlett, Jr. (Julie) of Drakes Branch, Rhita H. Rheebals (Donnie) of Appomattox and Gwendolyn H. Pillow of Phenix; her grandchildren, Tiffany H. RussellChris, Jennifer P. Richardson Davey, Susan C. Zill Pat, Garland H. Hamlett, III and Jeffery Pillow Allison; and her great grandchildren, Cassidy Russell, Raegan Russell, Sidney Hamlett, Garland "Hyde" Hamlett, IV, Annabelle Pillow, Rutherfoord Hamlett, Henry Pillow and Bentley Richardson. She is also survived by brother in law, four nephews and one niece.
