It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of James Daniel Ramsey Jr. of Keysville, Virginia, who passed away on March 15, 2023, at the age of 93, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his wife Lee "Skee" Hanmer Neal Ramsey; his son Thomas Hanmer Ramsey; and his sister Carolyn Gay Ramsey Jolly. He is survived by: his children, James Daniel Ramsey, III of Houston and Katherine Electa Ramsey of Glen Allen, Virginia; his grandchildren, Zachary Thomas Ramsey of Ashland, Jessica Lee Ramsey of Richmond and Matthew Hagop Pierre Roose of Charlotte; and his nieces and nephews, Leigh Ann Jolly Mason, Thomas Scott Jolly and Berkley Daniel Jolly.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions be made to Alzheimer's Association, Good Samaritan Ministries, (Richmond, Virginia) or Special Olympics Virginia (Area 31).
